Here's just an add-on to my last post about Facebook. This article of the German journal DIE ZEIT points out the benefits of transparency in a completely other area: taxation. In Sweden, everyone knows what everyone earns and how many taxes they pay for the good of the national community. No hiding and no fear. And as a result more trust into the state and the community.

Bias is a problem in the use of AI. What most people don't know, however, is that you can use ChatGPT specifically to expose bias in AI outputs (as well as in our human-written texts). In this article, I'll show you how! All people have biases. AI is trained on human-generated texts from the web. This means AI also inherits the biases of an internet dominated by content from Western, white, and English-speaking people. Just as we have to deal with the unquestioned assumptions and prejudices of our fellow humans (and ourselves!), we must also do so with AI. Even more so, because AI, by default (i.e., without specifically asking for possible biases), actually amplifies existing biases in the training data . So, what can we as users do? As my organization is currently in the process of formulating a new Knowledge Management Strategy (replacing its past Knowledge Strategy 2009-2011 ), I recently found myself discussing a lot with colleagues within and outside the organization on what should be key principles or guiding points for knowledge management. I was particularly inspired by colleagues from IFAD which is currently also writing a KM framework, and I found lot of elements that seem to be quite universal across organizations.
